So, yesterday was really, really hot and humid then tonight at 5 am we got a freaking thunderstorm with heavy rain and even some hail. Now it's windy, definitely colder and still freaking humid.

When did we became the tropics? WHAT THE FUCK, WEATHER? :|

In other news, I just finished the latest Rachel Vincent "Werecats" book: Prey and I absolutely loved it!! ♥
I did like her previous books, but this one was really, really good; now this series is officially "obsession material". ;-)

Speaking about obsession material...I already have the new Viki Pettersson's book in my grabby hands (if you don't know who Viki Pettersson is, you lose at life *g*) but even tho I - not so patiently - waited for a whole year to read it, now that I have it, I can't seem to find the right time to start it.
I know it's going to be awesome (hello, it's Viki Pettersson!), but I also know it'll be full of angst and heartache....and I don' think I can stand angst and heartache right now... :((

Am I totally weird or what? *rolls eyes at herself*

In honor of David Carradine (rip), during the weekend I re-watched - again - the whole "Kill Bill" saga and...OMG my love for those movies - especially the first - knows no bounds.

I love, love, love them. The cinematography and direction are beautiful, the photography, costumes, scenography are brilliant, the dialogs, casting and acting are perfect, the soundtrack is amazing and...well, the whole thing is utter genius.

I could re-watch those movies a million times and never get tired of them...so much love. ♥

In other news, after the latest books, I pretty much had given up on the Anita Blake series, but I kept reading it in a masochistic "train wreck" kinda way. But I have to say that the last book "Skin Trade" was...dare I say it? Pretty good.
At least it was much, much better than the previous, say, ten ones...it's still not great, the ending is kinda "meh" and I missed some "Jean-Claude time", but it seems that LKH is getting her mojo back, Yay! :-)

Wow, it's been almost two months since I last posted, I really suck at this livejournal thing, don't I? ;-)

I'd really like to update more, but I never know what to write about! *pouts*

Well, I guess I can always write about books...I've been reading a lot lately and since I saw some of you guys asking for book recs I thought I'd write down some of my latest favorites. :-)

books, books and more books )

So, what are you reading?

Queer Eyes: public service announcement
Some time ago the lovely Misty (aka [info]mwil298) offered to host my Queer as Folk website, I gladly accepted, so now Queer Eyes has a brand new shiny host! :-)

Also, since Misty is still obsessed in love with all things QaF, she offered to keep the site "alive". She'll add some new stuff soon, transcripts, pictures, etc, basically she'll be the new Queer Eyes' webmistress.

So, if you have questions, suggestions, complains (hopefully not), please contact Misty here: misty@queereyes.net, she'll try her best to answer you and make you happy. ;-)

Also-also, since I'm v. speshul, I forgot to save some of the screencaps before shutting down the old host...I thought I had them on my HD, but , well, it turns out that I don't. :|
So, if you, by any chance downloaded the zip files (I'm talking about the S1 screencaps, the good quality ones) and you still have them around somewhere, it would be awesome if you could send them to me (or, better Misty) so we'll be able to put them back on line. *rolls eyes at herself*

Finally, if you still love Queer as Folk and all its characters (not just B/J), http://libertyavenue.net it's the site for you. :-)

*loves* ♥

BSG!
Well, it's the end of an era...I'll miss you, Battlestar Galactica. *sniff*

Quoting my brain twin Ree: loved it, just as long as I don't think too hard about everything )
